DIY tee -> vest

What you'll need:
- Old Tee
- Scissors
- Pencil

Using a pencil, indicate where you want to cut the tee! I cheated & placed a vest above mine, it gives you an idea of how you're doing :)

Draw a curved line using a pencil to guide you!

Don't cut too much off the material, it's always easier to snip away at it later! Espeially after trying it on, you'll see how you want it!

I then cut the hem off the tee - it gives it an edgier, more rugged look!

Now - you have a vest! You could also cut around the neckline but I left mine as I was happy with how it looked! If you want to add an extra little touch, keep reading ;)

Gather the back of your new vest & using the left over material(from where you cut the hem), tie a bow! It gives your vest a pretty, girly look!

Ta-dah!!

This DIY transforms your old tees into modern new vests :) Perfect timing for Summer :)

Let me know how you get on

Lusting lilac

Here's a few collages I put together of my favourite colour of the moment - lilac.

I have always been a fan of pastels, but I realised my obsession with lilac, violet & lavender after recently watching one of my favourite movies "My Best Friends Wedding" when Julia Roberts wears a gorgeous lavender dress, love her!

Will you be wearing pastels this Summer?
Hope you're enjoying your weekend - have fun!

High hopes

Belt & Bracelets - Penneys, Rings - New Look & Topshop, Clutch - Zara

Bunny ring - Topshop

Gold plated earrings - Topshop

I bought this black jumpsuit in the River Island Winter Sale 2 years ago & only removed the tags last weekend - I'm the worst!! I've always loved playsuits, esp come Summer time - I'm always sporting them on holliers! So catsuits or jumpsuits really should have come to mind, considering our cold Irish weather! Jumpsuits are just as versatile as a LBD, simple, chic, comfortable & stylish - all you have to do is add accessories!

I went for the less is more look - you can't go wrong :) "Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory" (Coco Chanel)

I wore my favourite Topshop heels, that I haven't worn in ages, as I was slightly obsessed with my Lita's for the past few months! Summer is coming closer & closer, which means.. bubye boots, hello wedges :) I'm in love with a particular pair from Asos that aren't on sale 'til the end of the month! Boo :(

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

The girls & I decided to go out for a few drinks on Saturday night, here's what I wore! I went for a very simple outfit (eventually - after trying on half my wardrobe)! I bought these navy disco pants for..wait for it... €10! More money for vodka - bonus! :)

I have already mentioned my love for head pieces in my last post A little head piece of heaven. I bought this particular one in River Island, it transforms your whole look! One of my readers also mentioned that you can use old necklaces as head pieces - it's a very handy tip & it's free :) Reuse, recycle ;)
